“Women’s Summit on Peace and Security calls for laws to enhance the role and empowerment of women”

Al Ain News writes:

“The Women in Peace and Security Summit, held in Abu Dhabi on December 18 and 19, concluded with recommendations on strengthening the role of women and the effective balance of gender and its role in achieving peace and security in the international community.

The summit was organized under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, the Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, the President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, by TRENDS Research & Advisory and the General Women’s Union in cooperation with the Women In International Security (WIIS) and UN Women’s Office

Over the course of two days, the Summit and its participants discussed a number of discussions related to activating women’s empowerment in the security and military field and their participation in settling international disputes, in addition to their role in the field of security policies, maintaining internal stability and contributing to the operational field”
