“The Brotherhood’s ideology has spread violence and extremism in Europe”
Sky News Arabia writes: TRENDS Research & Advisory, in partnership with the European Foundation for Democracy organized a seminar at the European Parliament in Brussels on March 27, to discuss ways to counter extremism and terrorism, especially those of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The conference was hosted by Swedish Deputy Lars Adctusen, Belgian MP Gerard Debriz and French MP Patricia Lalonde, members of the European Parliament.
The seminar discussed the importance of understanding the ideas and beliefs of political Islam groups that lead to and promote extremism. The participants agreed that such understanding was indispensable if the fight against violent extremism was to be effective.
