TRENDS Research & Advisory hosted an invitation only roundtable discussion on “Russia’s Foreign Policy and the GCC”. Russia is having a strong influence on current events and it is important to have an understanding of the motivations and objectives of Russia’s foreign policy. TRENDS welcomed Professor Piotr Dutkiewicz, Professor of Political Science and co-director of the Center for Governance and Public Policy, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada; Dr. Nikolay Kozhanov, Academy Robert Bosch fellow with the Russia and Eurasia Programme, Chatham House, London, UK; Professor Rein Mullerson, Research Professor at Tallinn University, Estonia and President of the International Law Institute (Geneva); Professor Richard Sakwa Professor of Russian and European Politics at the University of Kent.
